Hi there, I read your confession on Artist-confessions on Tumblr [link] . And I was like, wise words here, gotta check him out, so I did, and, man, you are REALLY amazing. And yeah, it's true, ppl on dA don't really appreciate design (unless you're someone fucking popular and already well-known), but let me tell you something; even I as a fanart artist feel.... unnoticed on this site. Sometimes I see 10x worse art than mine with like, 300 favs, and I'm like what?!. And then I realize that this site it's not only about the art. It's about community etc as well. People will like other people's work - whether or not it is shitty - only if it's in their fandom. I used to be like that too, couple years ago, when I first joined dA.
You're great, really, I had to watch you. For me as an amateur designer, you are an inspiration

I've gotta be honest that's the first time anything I've said has be given the "wise words" stamp of approval, but honestly, I only typed that up out of frustration.
But I'm surprised to hear that from a fanart artist too actually. I guess in away I'm happy to hear that there are other like-minded people out there but forgetting all the popularity Jazz (as people will always hate popular people until they are one, then roles reverse.) I think that you checking out my work and was nice enough to leave this comment is more than I was hoping for, I really appreciate it.
We're all amateurs in the eyes of a professional, so I'm glad to be a source of inspiration. (:
